David's bio

I am a Director of Customer Success at Birdeye and my teams are responsible for helping Birdeye clients implement online reputation management software. I develop strategies for improving our client experience while driving revenue and creating a good environment for my teams to work in.

Primarily, I am interested in how people communicate on the internet and the machines we use to talk to one another. I enjoy the process of creating a thing that didn't exist before while working alongside bright, dedicated people.

In addition to my professional career, I’m also currently a PhD candidate at George Mason University in the Cultural Studies department. I chose CS as a discipline because it allows for an agile, interdisciplinary method to examine cultural objects within their social, historical and economic context.

My dissertation research is an analysis of how environmental software impacts public understanding and decision-making. Through this study, I get to play with critical code theory, mapping authority figures in public communications, and diving into the way knowledge is produced.


I am a product owner with a dedication to customer success and enjoy helping people make software work. I've got a keen understanding of what clients and software users need to make their life easier and it's fulfilling to deliver those solutions.
