Independent professional in Interim and Program Management. As an entrepreneur,
Jean Paul is also involved in the development of business plans for various startups in media & technology environments.
Together with Stef Wouters, Jean Paul founded the co-operation Princes of Serendip™, a production house in the field of transmedia, to help businesses to intensify the connection between their brand and the individual through story.
Jean Paul's main roles are adviser, program manager and Quality Assurance of transmedia projects.
In January 2013 Jean Paul joined Sanoma as an independent program manager in charge of the development of the Technology Roadmap for Sanoma Media Belgium.
From March 2014 till April 2015 he was part of the Management Team of Sanoma Technology & Operations responsible for the competence centers Digital, Oracle, SIM, AV and Intershop.
He also managed different projects including the roll-out of Media ID, the introduction of Identity Management and the Technology carve-out of 6 media titles towards De Persgroup Publishing and l'Avenir Hebdo (Nethys).
Jean Paul was also member of the Board of MediaNet Vlaanderen, representing Sanoma Media Belgium NV.
MediaXim (now part of Nielsen http://www.nielsen.com/be/en.html), an international leading independent supplier of media data, software and services designed for the media and advertising professionals.
As IT & Services Director, Jean Paul managed the teams R&D, Customer Services and ICT Infrastructure. He was also responsible for all operations of MetriWare, a 100% subsidiary of MediaXim and the market-leading independent Traffic and Audience Measurement service provider for Internet-technology based applications in Belgium.
In June 2001 Jean Paul joined the VRT as an independent programme manager, amongst others he was charged with the implementation of the pilot projects for interactive TV.
From June 2003 till February 2010 he was part of the Management Team of the VRT.
Until 2006 Jean Paul was responsible for the portfolio management of all special projects like the innovative media projects (known as e-VRT, f.e. KetnetKick, Kinderen van Dewindt, 16plus.be, …) and IBBT research projects.
Until mid 2009 he was responsible for the team developing products for broadband Internet, mobile and interactive digital television & radio.
Until February 2010 Jean Paul was managing technology innovation and was head of VRT-medialab, the research and innovation department of VRT.
Jean Paul served as managing director of datEdge (now part of Service Point http://www.servicepointbe.com/ be), an IT company that offers business-to-business data solutions to enhance commercial transactions between its clients, customers and partners.
Jean Paul worked 10 years as Technology Consultant at Andersen Consulting (as of 1 January 2001 named Accenture) with focus on technical architectures, methodology and programme management.
