A little about me

I've been a board-hired CEO, startup mentor, founder and consultant, having come from a corporate background in finance and real estate. Today you'll find me working on the business side of tech and technology-enabled ventures; building them, improving them and advising them.

Entrepreneurial and technology focused in everything that I do, I love creating something from nothing and have a talent for establishing and maintaining business infrastructures where none previously existed.

Whether it’s building a sales funnel for a SaaS, leading product development for a seed stage venture, streamlining and defining operational processes for a growing startup or strategically sourcing and negotiating with partners, vendors and contractors to get a product launched on spec and under budget, I’m known for getting things done and building out scalable processes that allow all parts of a company to talk internally and operate effectively.

I’m a native New Yorker who began his career in finance after completing a technology-focused philosophy degree at Polytechnic University (now NYU Tandon School of Engineering).

From there it was straight into real estate and then across the Atlantic to the small Nordic nation of Estonia where I discovered a booming tech scene that has been discreetly driving innovation on a global scale, incubating the likes of Skype, Fits.me, GrabCAD, Transferwise, e-Residency and many other game changers in the world of technology and startups.

My professional life has afforded me the opportunity to work with shape-shifting robots, befriend a Nigerian princess, travel to six countries on three continents in as many years, consult and mentor dozens of new businesses and build an international direct-response marketing company from the ground up.

With a passion for process improvement, operations and full-stack business development, I excel at taking ideas from concept to reality and I'd love to chat.

As Head of SME Sales, I worked with apparel retailers to help develop their brand value and grow their bottom line by supplying them with the tools they need to providetheir shoppers with an essential customer service that both increases sales and reduces returns.

Senior Account Manager

Responsible for the operational and payment compliance of a portfolio of approximately 120 Metropolitan Transportation Authority commercial tenants, leases and licenses spread across multiple agencies throughout the city, including the New York City Transit Authority, the Metro-North Railroad at Grand CentralTerminal and high-end retail spaces housed at the MTAs Madison Avenue Headquarters. The MTA isthe largest public transportation agency in the US and management responsibilities included extensiveinteraction with MTA Real Estate Department staff and engineering inspectors, conducting site inspections,tenant liaison and correspondence, documenting risk management issues, ensuring updated documents,monitoring ongoing tenant issues, collection of outstanding compensation, coordinating and conducting tenant move-outs, coordinating minor construction activity and assisting agency operating personnel incoordinating tenant activities related to their operation or possible relocation in response to the operationalneeds or construction activities of the Transit Authority. Additional responsibilities included the abstractingof new lease agreements executed between the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and their tenants andspecial projects, as needed, which have included the drafting of tenant-targeted system-wide memorandumsand coordinating wide-scale Agreement enforcement efforts.

Accepted to this highly competitive specialized science high school, one of only three in New York City. Electrical Engineering major, graduating with a NYS Regents Diploma. My mostmemorable accomplishment was taking my electrical engineering teacher up on the challenge of waiving the final exam if I could build a working stun gun from scratch using components purchased at RadioShack.
