Research Assistant

University of Malaya

• Fabricated lead free 3D chips joining materials which will withstand at high temperature performance
• Micron layers of different metals were deposited using electroplating and got desired intermetallic between different layers which have higher melting point than the metal layers to achieve high temperature performance.

Occupational Trainee

Victoria University

• A preliminary experimental part was conducted on comprehensive pyrolysis & combustion.
• Developed a modelling as well as ANN/GA optimisation part in collaboration with the University of Melbourne and the University of New Castle.
• This included numerical modelling of one-step multi-reaction & multi-step semi-global reaction schemes and gas phase combustion using using Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and seeking improvement of these schemes/ models.

Industrial Attaché

Abul Khair Group (AKS)

• Served as an industrial intern at Abul Khair Steel Limited.
• This comprised of a month long training on Steel production

Testimonials

Hear what some of my clients and colleagues have to say about me after working together on various projects throughout my career.

Hannah Harding

PhD Student at Tuskegee University

Ali is a very hard working graduate student. He is very knowledgeable in his field of research. He has a pleasant personality and his easy to work with.

Naser Imran Hossain, EIT

Rotational Engineer at OneSubsea - A Cameron & Schlumberger Company

I've know Ali for over 6 years, both as a classmate during my undergraduate years and later on as a graduate student in United States when we both arrived here for our Masters programs. I have seen his work principles and methodologies first hand and is happy to recommend him as an excellent organizer and planner of projects and events that requires both organizational cunning and the quality of meeting deadlines. He has always been active in filling leadership positions during his undergraduate tenures - at the same time maintaining a healthy balance between his academics and research. I think Muhammad Ali Imam would be an excellent addition to any institution that deals with engineering and research based work.

Kamal Uddin

Research Student, Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia

Ali Imam Shafi was worked as an Occupational Trainee in the same group as we are working now at CESARE, Victoria university. He is hard working, innovating and have very good grasp of knowledge in his related research field. He was very helpful to others. We here still miss him a lot.

Iqbal Mahmud

Research student at Victoria University

I am happy to write for Mr Iman. We worked together in CESARE, Victoria University, Australia during January to December 2011. I found him very hardworking, energetic and curious. He has very good interpersonal skills. He is a pleasant, generous person who is never afraid to take on a challenging task. He is good mannered with a strong sense of responsibility. He is able to work independently as well as he possesses a strong leadership quality and good at team-work.

Still I have communication with him. He is one of the persons with good personality, I have seen in my life.

I wish him every success in his life.
