Petra T. Ruzickova
Visionary Photographer & Published Author
Petra T. Ruzickova is a visual artist, poet and editor.
She has been presenting her artistic work regularly since the beginning of the 1990s (France, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Brasil etc.). Since 2000, she has exhibited primarily in the USA, especially in the galleries of New York. In 2003, she published her monograph Fortress (Pevnost). She specializes in unconventional book covers and illustrations. Her artwork is featured in many private and public collections.
Petra T. Ruzickova is one of the pioneers of metaphysical and mystical photography as an artistic medium. She is fascinated by southern climes and the path that leads to the sun, to the gods, the sphinxes, mysteries, and to temples. For Petra T. Ruzickova, a photograph is not just a piece of art; it is also a sacred subject, an icon, an image heaving with spiritual energy.
Petra T. Ruzickova is a laureate of the European Prize for Photography by the European Union of Arts.
